Fans of award winning fashion designer Iona Crawford can enjoy another aspect of her artistic talents over the next few weeks.
From Saturday until Monday her paintings will be on show at The Gleneagles Hotel from 11am until 6pm each day. A graduate of the prestigious Edinburgh College of Art fashion department, Iona was awarded a first class honours in fashion design in 2007 and was awarded the Betty Davies Award for Innovation and Outstanding use of Scotish fabric while showcasing her graduate collection. She currently works from her studio at her family farm near Stirling and undertakes a variety of freelance teaching positions to hone the next generation of art and design talent. Cameron McCann of Ealain Gallery said "as a Scottish designer and artists Iona paints livestock and subject matter which is inspired by her farm upbringing" "with her strong artistic signature, Iona studiess farm animals which are drawn from life. Her customers enjoy what has been described as the 'attitude' of Iona's work and how she brings the animals to life".
